Deo Favente first started developing his artistic skills and musical ability as a child growing up in America. His African Caribbean roots added a unique blend to his rapping and reggae singing style. On his return Deo perfected his musical & lyrical skills, throughout the UK, recorded his first studio tracks with DJ MSD one of the top DJs in the country and pioneer of Hip-Hop & Reggae music. Deo pave his way to perform with some of the hottest sound systems, Recorded first demos and white label press, Shoot Kill & Ruff and Dangerous, ( hip-hop ) Produced by DJ MSD Lyrics written by Deo aka DVS, at Union Street Studio’s Oxford, the liveliest MC ever with Jazzy D, Bizzy B, and MSD for ZONE 3 Sound System, Underground Movement, DJ specialist and live entertainer at Minchery Farm Nightclub, Barns Court, Parish hall, Silver Band Hall Roots Club, Caribbean Club, Jericho Tavern, battled a crew called Fresh 4 who featured a unknown lyricist named TRICKY from Bristol, joined Jammatone a Raggae Sound System as a MC, Singer, and DJ, worked with some of the top reggae sounds in the UK, as a lyrical specialist for sound clashes, worked with Sir notch, Yard Force, Sweet Sensation, First Class, Classic Harmony, Sovereign Wassifa Street Level and shared the same stage as Macka B in the early 90s.

Deo's natural Reggae singing and MCing skills are of the highest grade, his reggae style of singing is very unique his voice has been compared to the likes of Garnet Silk Beres Hammond and Seal which has given him local to international respect. Deo moved with the times and Worked with West Hampstead studio’s in London, recorded Ghetto Luv & Call me Daddy, R&B style, recorded a euro pop rap for Altman Production Germany called Sound of the Underground, worked with O2 Production songwriters for commercials, for TV and radio, recorded demos, alternative dance music style’ Red Rose, How Far, Dreams and the acoustic song Party 203, and it was not till 98 that Deo as DVS started rapping again in freestyle cipher in North London with MSD, Unusual Suspects Bigger Man, Freddy Kruger, and many more.

Deo toured Japan as a Rapper, Reggae DJ and Fashion model in Nagoya & Osaka has performed at some of Japan’s hottest nightclubs promotional parties, several radio stations and worked with some the hottest underground DJs, rappers from all over the world which resulted in Deo recording his first single release with Acmedia Records and DJ Caujoon”(Dance 2 Dis). Deo also appeared in many top magazines such as Spy-master & AR magazines and the second largest Radio Station in Japan (Zip FM).Nightclubs like Pleasure Zone, Emporium, Lush Underground, JB’s, Scald, in Nagoya Japan and at Don Flex Osaka where DJ Cash Money Maseo from Dela Soul Speech from Arrested Development DJ NGL & Bazaro all performed. Deo then went on to Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn NYC to work with Two late Productions and recorded some the hottest tracks then returned to the UK to set up his own label” Touchwood Records Ltd”. Deo's first release the Redeye Anthem received great reviews in Blues & Soul magazine April edition featuring Amy Wine-house written by Ryan Proctor. Re-releasing a hot new video Deo made his first TV interview & appearances on BEN TV Knight flows programme which boast over million viewers worldwide the Red-eye Anthem Video was on regular rotation which enable Deo to reach out to a larger audience. also performed live in Stonebridge & Harlesden London Show Case organised by Peaches Hosted by Digical, Deo shared the same stage as artist like, General Levy, L.O.C, Gappy Ranks, Stixman, Skrilla Kidz, Sunncylce and Slim Dutty and many more.
